TDC’s Governance and Leadership
The Governance and Leadership program focuses on building the capacity of local Aboriginal people to lead and govern organisations and services in the Thamarrurr region.
The program draws from existing efforts in leadership and governance development and identifies gaps in skill.
Components of this program include:
- Skill development
- Identification of emerging leaders and mechanisms of support
- Governance of Community Organisations
- Cross agency engagement such as the Kardu Alliance
- Clear and measurable targets and indicators of progress
The TDC Board has 20 members who are the representatives of the 20 clan groups of the Thamarrurr region.
