Our Mission at TDC is to develop all commercial opportunities on behalf of the clan members throughout the Region to advance our key aims of providing local jobs for local people and, in the long term, ensuring every child has a chance of a full life.

Thamarrurr Development Corporation NDIS and CDP Teams have been working hard to build the structures, processes and capacity of local Kardu to deliver support services to NDIS clients. The teams have been working through compliance barriers for local employees and ensuring that all people employed meet the requirements of the NDIS Quality Safety Standards.

NDIS Kardu Connect will harness and leverage the unique strengths of locally employed Kardu to provide culturally appropriate person-centred support and care for NDIS clients. This initiative embodies the spirit of “Kardu Caring for Kardu”. This body of work has been driven by the NDIS and CDP Reforms.

The CDP reforms have resulted in 55 local jobs becoming unfunded. We are working really hard to ensure that local people in the community services sector can remain in paid employment .
