Our Mission at TDC is to develop all commercial opportunities on behalf of the clan members throughout the Region to advance our key aims of providing local jobs for local people and, in the long term, ensuring every child has a chance of a full life.

A small group of Women representing the broader Thamarrurr Region have taken the next steps in the journey of developing the Thamarrurr Aboriginal Women’s Council. The Women attended the Kimberly Aboriginal Women’s Council (KAWC) RISE UP Leadership conference in Broome WA.

KAWC are supporting the Thamarrurr women on the journey to form a women’s council by sharing the lessons of their own development journey. The local steering committee will be formed in the coming months and planning workshops will occur early next year.
