Community Development Program

TDC is the Thamarrurr region’s Community Development Program (CDP) provider, contracted to deliver the CDP in Wadeye, Palumpa, Peppimenarti and all surrounding outstations and homelands.

We provide a range of services to jobseekers including the provision of Work for the Dole activities, training and development opportunities, and job search skills.

The role of the TDC CDP team in the community is to work with jobseekers, employers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure workforce development needs are met and local community members are given every opportunity to achieve success through sustainable employment.

Our CDP staff provide case management services to all jobseekers who are in receipt of Centrelink benefits.

We assist jobseekers with:

  • resume building
  • identification of training needs to meet employment demands
  • post placement employment support
  • mentoring.

We also provide community designed and led activities for jobseekers who are not able to find placements to:

  • build work-like skills
  • prepare for work, move into work, and stay in work as it becomes available
  • contribute to their communities
  • support connections to sustainable jobs.
